There are a growing number of options for vegans in Bend, Oregon. We recently decided to celebrate the breaking of the COVID-19 lockdown in Oregon and head to a new restaurant, Deeply Rooted, that had opened its doors amidst the craziness on the pandemic. It was a great opportunity for us to support a local business.
Bend, Oregon is a fantastic place to visit at any time of the year. There are plenty of activities for those who love the great outdoors – especially if you love winter sports, biking and hiking. We are always excited to try a new restaurant, especially in my home town, that offers interesting vegan options. So when Bethlyn’s Global Fusion bistro opened up we were excited to try it out.
There are a growing number of options for vegans in Bend, Oregon. I recently discovered that a new place, Root Down Kitchen, had opened up away from the main tourist areas, so I thought we’d give it a bash.
Central Oregon’s Smith Rock is one our favorite places to visit in the whole State. It is truly majestic and a true spectacle of nature irrespective of what time of year your visit. If offers some wonderful hiking and mountain bike trails of various lengths and physical ability. There are 12 official trails in the park and many more if you extend your trek into the adjacent Bureau of Land Management (BLM) areas.
Central Oregon has many beautiful places to visit and there are some fabulous hikes just a few minutes from downtown Bend. One of our favorite places to visit is Tumalo Falls.
Bend, Oregon is a popular all-year destination for those who love the great outdoors with it ski resort, mountain bike trails, white water rafting, fishing and golf courses. A significant service industry has sprung up in the town to cater for the visitors and growing number of people who call this home. The tourism industry has also enabled the city to develop a large community of craft breweries to spring up – a total of 32 in Central Oregon and counting. So, this mean there are lots of pubs and taprooms to chose from!
The High Desert Museum near Bend, Oregon is a lovely, family friendly visit explores the ecology and cultures of the region. It is a wonderful place to visit.
