Mexico: Quintana Roo, Tulum – La Hoja Verde (Review)

Anyway we totally stuffed on the tamales we had only ten minutes before finished so we couldn’t force any more food down even if we had wanted to. But the food everyone was eating looked so good! So, sadly we had to move on.After about 30 minutes wandering around Tulum, we were feeling a bit down as the town had not lived up to our expectations. We decided we needed to drown our sorrows and went back to La Hoya Verde and try out their beer selection. And, we were not disappointed as they served us a delicious Mexican strong dark beer. This also gave us another opportunity to see what food was being served on other tables – it looked totally amazing.

Mexico: Quintana Roo – Tulum

I had for some time wanted to leave behind the commercial hubbub of northern reaches of Cancún and it’s party vibe for the more relaxed towns of the southern Riviera Maya. During previous visits to the area a lot of people had talked fondly of Tulum, and so we decided to head down and check it out.

Arizona: Flagstaff

Situated on the famous Route 66 Flagstaff is a great little mountain town with some very cute shops and a good selection of places to eat. It is also a great base for a couple of days. From here you can easily get to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon in about 90 minutes.  Close to Flagstaff there are a couple of other attractions that we think are worth checking out.
