Hong Kong has a monsoon-influenced subtropical climate. It is mild for more than half the year. There are mild, relatively dry winters, and hot, humid, and wet summers.

The best time to visit Hong Kong is from October to early December when the weather is sunny, cool, and pleasant.

Rain: The annual rainfall ranges from less than 1,000 millimetres (51 inches) to more than 3,000 millimetres (118 inches); with an annual average of 2,383 millimetres (94 inches). About 80 per cent of the annual precipitation falls between May and September.

In the warmest times (late May to mid-September), it averages 28 °C (82 °F). However, it may reach 33 °C (91 °F).
